We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year at our house with the Bean family and the missionaries. I made the turkey, cranberry sauce, candied yams, garlic mashed potatoes, rolls and pumpkin pie. Tynley made a jell-o salad and yummy squash bake. It was fun! Here are some pics:

Park City Trip
Finally, I will get to go back to Park City, UT where I grew up. We are planning a vacation there this summer.
Thanks to Don Sr. we will be able to stay in a really nice Trade to Travel House for 1 week. Here are pics of the place.
I am soooo excited.
Getting Ready for Thanksgiving
This year we I am making Thanksgiving dinner for our friends, The Bean Family and the LDS missionaries.
Here is a movie called The History of Thanksgiving that I found on The History Channel.
Scholastic has The First Thanksgiving Online Activity to teach kids about Thanksgiving which I think is great.
Parent-Teacher Conference
What more could I ask for? I had the perfect parent teacher conference this morning. Mrs. Blymire, Jayden’s kindergarten teacher is very pleased with him. He is in the highest “level” in her class, which means he sits at the table with the top academic performers in the room. She comes up with more challenging work for them. She showed me a reading ability chart comparing the 30 students. He was the only child ABOVE the age level in reading. He is also getting great marks in math as well. Not only that, but his artwork was chosen out of ALL kindergarteners to be on the cover page in the yearbook! Seriously, who is this kid? She said the only thing he doesn’t really like to do is sing and dance. Other than that, she said she never has a problem with his behavior, he gets along with others and she is pleased to have him in her class.

New Moon
I had a blast last night watching New Moon. I met a bunch of girlfriends at the theater for the sold out movie. It was great.
Night at the Museum & Senator Tom Udall
Yesterday we took a trip down to DC. Don had set up a 15 minute meeting with his second cousin, Senator Tom Udall (D-NM). He wanted to meet him and also discuss health care which is a hot topic these days.
While he was doing that, the boys and I walked around the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. This where the movie Night at the Museum was filmed. It was fun because they saw the movie a couple times and recognized some of the exhibits.
Later, we had dinner at Georgetown University Hotel where Don attended a career fair. It was a big and exciting day.
PICS TO COME…

This year Jayden wanted to be vampire, Nicholas and Lucas wanted to be Batman and Robin (again). Here is what I put together for them:
