OB Update/ Don
This morning I had my OB/GYN checkup appointment (thanks Amy for watching the boys). Everything is going well and the baby was very active as usual when we listened to his/her heartbeat. I will be having the anatomy ultrasound on September 14 for those who are eager to know if baby is a girl. We are trying not to get our hopes up.
Yesterday, Don gave a wonderful talk in church on provident living. He used this website for a lot of his info Provident Living.

Udalls Are in the Crossword Puzzle
My Grandma Mary Decker sent Don and I this L.A. Times crossword puzzle to do. When we came to #36 across. "Big name in Arizona political history," we figured out why...the answer is UDALL. That was fun. Thank you Grandma for sending this to us. I cannot believe you do these puzzles every week, it was tough!

“All By Mine Own Self”
I am so proud of Nicholas. We have done this Toy Story puzzle together numerous times and yesterday he surprised me by doing it, as he would say, “All by mine own self.”
I have never seen a kid want to do things independently so much as Nick. He keeps trying until he figures it out. He gets frustrated, then I try to help him and he just tells me “no mommy, I want to do it!” He is a very sharp and persistent little guy.

Why Exercise Won't Make You Thin
Here is the link to TIME mag’s cover story for Aug. and my thoughts on it.
Why Exercise Won't Make You Thin
Ugh! No wonder why I did not loose much weight while training for my marathon last year. The whole reason I did such a daunting task was NOT actually to loose weight, however. I really did it just to challenge myself. I admire people who have run a marathon and I’ve wanted to do it for a long time. My body did change a little bit though and I felt healthier. Mainly I just felt like I could accomplish anything I put my mind too...hoping to lose a little baby fat in the process.
This article was good for me to read. Working out harder and longer does not mean I get that treat later on.
